Insurance

Quoting is easy. Accompanying the policy and the claim is the product.

Carriers and brokers already have rating engines and a call center. The pain: the quote lives on a microsite, the advisor on WhatsApp, issuance in the core, and the claim in another world. The insured tells three times the same car, the same home, the same family member.

What is worth orchestrating in insurance

A prospect or policyholder with a product, a quote, an advisor, issuance, and — when it comes — a claim. The policy core still issues. MEXA holds the commercial and service journey.

Real friction

Where the policy breaks

The most expensive pain is not the lead: it is a poorly accompanied claim and a renewal that arrives as if they were a stranger.

Orphaned quote engine

The customer builds a quote and “an advisor will call you.” The advisor does not see the quote. They ask for the car model again.

Broker and carrier, two truths

The producer talks on WhatsApp. The carrier talks by email. The customer does not know who is in charge.

Issuance and documents in the dark

Inspections, photos, beneficiaries are missing. Nobody sees the status. The policy goes cold.

Claim = call center from zero

On the worst day, they ask for a policy number and narrate the process. There is no prior thread.

What to orchestrate first

Use cases that are actually worth it

The most commercially effective: quote → advisor with a file. The most differentiating: first notice of loss with policy context.

A quote that arrives alive to the advisor

Auto, home, or life: the rating engine feeds the case. The human does not interrogate again. They book an inspection or a video call if needed.

Why it works. It is the bridge between marketing and production. Without it, the rating engine is a toy.

Onboarding and documents with status

The customer uploads photos, IDs, questionnaires. They see what is missing. Broker and carrier look at the same onboarding file.

Why it works. Cuts the “I will call you when it is ready” that kills high-ticket conversions.

First notice of loss (FNOL) on the policy thread

The insured opens the case from their policy: what happened, photos, shop or doctor. An adjuster joins with history, not with an empty ticket.

Why it works. That is where renewal is won or lost. It is the most useful use case for differentiation.

Renewal with memory

Not an email of “your policy is expiring.” An experience with limits, claims in the period, and a channel to adjust.

Why it works. Retention is played with context, not with a PDF of a new premium.

Success case (format)

Auto: the quote is no longer rewritten

Illustrative journey. Not a named customer. A MEXA case is published with a name when there is a full journey and evidence that can be told honestly.

An auto operation stops asking for the model twice. The rating engine, WhatsApp, and the advisor operate the same quote.

  1. Problem

    Quote leads with no quote

The microsite sent a field to the CRM. The advisor called blind. The customer had already quoted on three sites.

  2. Strategy

    The quote is the case

Everything hangs off that object: conversation, inspection, issuance. The core receives a packet, not a phone number.

  3. Experience

The customer adjusts in the same thread

They change deductible or drivers without “open me another quote.”

  4. Implementation

Rating engine + MEXA + core

Rate and issuance APIs. MEXA orchestrates people and documents.

  5. Result

    More issuances per quote started

You see where it is abandoned and which advisor replies. The KPI stops being “landing leads.”

Frequently asked questions

Does MEXA issue policies?

No. The core issues. MEXA takes the customer and the file to that point, and accompanies afterward.

What about an independent broker?

The same pattern at a smaller scale: a living quote + follow-up. The carrier remains the issuer.
